We deal only with wild turtles in Western Australia.   If, in WA, you find any other wildlife in need of care, call the Wildcare Helpline on 9474 9055 to be put in touch with a wildlife rehabilitator nearest  to you wherever you are in the state.   

If you find a wild animal in need outside the Wildcare Helpline’s  hours, please keep the animal in a safe place until the next morning, whilst observing the following  -

• Warmth (not for Echidnas) which must be indirect (hot-water bottles and wheat packs are risky and not recommended)   A desk lamp above the container is a simple way to provide warmth. 
• No food, and no water.
• Quiet (no radios, televisions, domestic machinery, domestic animals, children).
• Darkness in a secure, solid-sided contained of suitable size. Place a cloth in the base of the container to give the animal purchase.
