We are a Perth-based non-profit organisation dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of sick or injured oblong turtles.
Although our primary role is turtle rescue and rehabilitation, we are equally committed to educating the community about these unseen evolutionary marvels. Community wildlife education has the potential to reduce the amount of wildlife admitted for rehabilitation.
Numbers count. Just by becoming a member you are helping. The more members we have, the more supporters our turtles have which will be of benefit when we are lobbying on their behalf.
Membership is FREE but you'll still need to complete a Membership Form.
Like many wildlife rehabilitation groups, we are unfunded and run by volunteers. Your donations are appreciated.
Loan us your expertise. Whatever your skills we’re bound to be able to use them in some way. Much of the help needed is of a short-term and spasmodic nature i.e. helping run a fundraising sausage sizzle, taxiing turtles to vet appointments and eyes on the lake.
If you're interested in becoming a turtle taxi or home carer, please contact us.
Sales from fund-raising merchandise is another way of helping whilst receiving something in return. Check out our Turtle Shop.
If your local lake(s) is in poor condition, lobby your Council to take responsibility for the health of the lakes in your area.
If you’d like to organise an information session for please contact us for details. Alternatively, you may be able to interest your Council in funding community information sessions.
Kindly note: Because of animal welfare considerations we are unable to include live animals in our talks
